Har-Prakash, Mojave Desert

This picture brings to mind a conversation we were having when my dad said to me:

"It's great to get to know you as an adult and not just  as my son."

It warms my heart when I think of our road trip. We  were able to share this experience, and now there is  a timeless memory of that in the form of a picture.
We were adventurous. The rugged desert conditions  made it uncomfortable, and yet we saw some of the  most beautiful scenery in the world. That beauty  and novelty made us more attentive to nature and  also to each other.
